Our History

MTBMD began in September of 2019 as a vision of two MORE members. We partnered with MORE to get a group started at our local park - The Hashawha Environmental Center. As a MORE chapter, we focused on the community benefits of outdoor recreation, shared trail use, and education.

We started with trail cleanup and maintenance and group rides. In 2023 we organized our first annual fundraiser, “Hill Yeah!”, and have grown from there.

Our goal is to nurture a shared commitment to our trails and outdoor spaces and mutual respect across all user groups.

Since 2018, MTBMD has provided
